The Coronavirus Pandemic has had an impact on everyone around the world, with many people losing their source of income. In Pakistan, the poor families who work in the brick kilns have been hit especially hard since March 2020, as the brick kiln factories completely shut down for long periods of time and the whole country was on lock down for significant periods of time. Working as slave labor, what little funds they earned, they now did not have, and the need for food rations was a continuing problem. The widows, the disabled, the poor have very little provisions under normal circumstances, and these conditions just magnified the problem, creating desperate situations. Food rations contains rice, flour, sugar, oil and a few vegetables. Just simple food. The tiny 1% Christian minority community in Pakistan receives no source of help from any welfare organizations or the government, unless they convert from the Christian faith. They refuse to do that, so they did not receive provisions like the rest of the population did. During crisis, and even on a daily basis, many extremely poor families look to Healing Hands Ministries for help just with basic food provisions.
BUT GOD’S GRACE was evident during this most difficult time when families had to depend totally on Him for their very existence from day to day. Thanks to friends of this Ministry, many stepped up and donated during this time, so that food provisions could be shared with those destitute families.
