In a land where women are reduced to second-class citizens, where they are viewed as property and so many are abused and degraded, this Ministry wants to offer women a chance to have a respectable, honorable way to bring income into their family.
In October 2019, funds were donated to launch the Helping Hands Sewing Center so the Ministry could begin training 6 women at each of the two locations. The women are being trained by a skilled tailor. The purpose of this project is to enable the ladies to have their own small business to help support their families. One lady shared that she had been praying for 20 years that God would make it possible for her to do this, and she was so happy that now she would have the opportunity. The cost for each lady to begin training is $60 USD. This buys their materials and sewing supplies for the 6-month training. Upon completing their training successfully, they will each receive a new sewing machine (cost $110 USD) and start-up funds ($60 USD) to buy materials to begin their business.
** NOTE **
This Project is only able to operate if people will commit to funding it.
